Welcoming Committee

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” Romans 15:7

Welcoming Committee

This team’s job will be to make sure everyone feels this way and to follow up with them after mass or after an important event. St. Paul is meant to be a communal experience. Each person is involved in some way and is welcome to find their talents and offer them to God.

Re-opening the Church

“When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing.”  Luke 9:11

Re-Opening the Church!

It is time to RE-OPEN our church. This has to be done safely and using the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Chicago. We need a wide variety of roles filled and cannot re-open without many volunteers!

Evangelization Team

“All who believe in Christ should feel, as an integral part of their faith, an apostolic concern to pass on to others its light and joy.” Saint John Paul II

Evangelization Team

We are called to share our church, our community and our love of Christ with others. Our mission at St. Paul calls for it, our Holy Church yearns for it, and our Savior commands it. Join us in launching welcome events, Alphas, and faith formation groups that will engage people in the truth, beauty and goodness of St. Paul Church.

Mass Ministries

“The celebration of Holy Mass is as valuable as the death of Jesus on the cross.”  Saint Thomas Aquinas

Mass Ministries

Celebrating the Mass is how we recreate Christ’s final meal with his apostles, each week.  Serving as a lector, musician or usher is a way in which you can participate in setting the table for our celebrating the eucharist.

Social Justice Team

“There is no democracy with hunger, nor development with poverty, nor justice in inequality,” Pope Francis

Social Justice

As Catholics, we are called to analyze the causes of poverty and social injustices and engage well-informed parishioners to advocate for change.  We serve our people  – food, emergency services, mental health care, street outreach, and violence prevention.

“If you are what you should be, you will set the whole world ablaze!”
-St. Catherine of Sienna

Shine Youth Ministry

The young people of this community are vital to its future. We are called to be a beacon in the neighborhood where young people can develop a deep relationship with God and make lifelong faith friendships.

Communication Team

“The digital world can be an environment rich in humanity; a network not of wires but of people.” Pope Francis

Communication Team

We can be the best church in the city, but how will people know about it? We need to reach them where they are.  Today’s world of communication extends far beyond the weekly bulletins of our past. We need to help our parishioners use and understand REALM. We need assistance with posts on social media, writing blogs, photographing events and updating our website. We need you!
